? Why do I prepare this page ?
No one is perfect, I find more and more people not only myself but also many other people need to learn more on how to make sure life is fully charged with positive energy, and how to better design our life and time, but not just limited to materials.
I often read books and watch TED and some good YouTube videos (be careful with YouTube to suck your time as well) to ensure that I learn good suggestions from different people on good ideas and suggestions. It is too easy to claim we should working hard, but working hard for a long time with high driving force is not easy. We need faith, we need goals, we also need some tricks. Importantly, we also need balance.
Nowadays, there are so many distractions around us, and this sometimes, or even, very often, cause a problem. we thought that are working hard, but lack of efficiency, and could be even results high fatigue, but still do not see the progress after a while.

We wish to success. But, in order to make it happen, we need to be clear about the steps moving forward. Have a big vision first and set goals for your career and life, so we could be persist and working hard under a high driving force, but not just a one-time momentum. In fact, do sleep, and get up early. We all have time, if you do not have, you need to design the schedule well. Getting time to rest and working hard do not conflict with each other as long as we could pay attention to the time management.

I love this Ted talk by Stephen Duneier so much, I think this is the correct way to evaluate how much time we have and how much we can get if we just need to pay a little bit more attention with good design of our free time.

Why should we get up earlier?We always see things online or some books telling us people are different, some people needs to sleep 4 hours, some needs much longer even 10 hours. Despite these comments, we do not see studies showed that most of us should get up late, otherwise, many of us could have health issues. In fact, a much healthier life style is to sleep early and get up early.
We often forget that time and energy all follows conservation laws. If you stay late during the night, unless you sleep very little, you certainly cannot get up early. But sleep early and get up early should not be a reason for you to be lack of time. The Video shared here may gives an impression to tell people sleep less (quicker). But at least one important message, get up early, and make sure you have some enough time in the early morning that your brain spins with less distractions. If we could design our day wisely, and sleep earlier as well, we do not need to scarify our total sleeping time too much. |

Have a vision: "... You can have the best ship/airplane in the world, if the pilot/captian does not know where to go, we will not end up anywhere..." (what is your goal as a student? only the thesis? or the credits? why we need to spend time on some paper work? what is our life goal? are we doing things toward that).
Do not listen to naysayers, and work hard towards to your goals: "When they say no, I heard yes. Everything is impossible until someone does it. Work your ass off. There is no magic deal. How much we learn after 365 hours in one year? (how much we learn after 365 x 3 hours if you get up earlier for 3 hours, and sleep early to cut down your low efficient time?) Work your ass off but then advertise and let everyone know. (So you get pressure to finish and do things in a good quality to match your goal.) I do not have plan B. if you start think about plan B and every thought that you put into Plan B you're taking away now that thought and that energy from plan A..." |

How much time do we need to learn things and good at it?
We run out of time to learn things, but is this true? besides the time management, how long do you really need to learn things in order to continue develop the skills become good at it? More importantly, is 20-hour long or short for you? can you make it happen?

Why TED Talks don't change people's behaviors?
I bet that we agreed most of these ideas and opinions shown as above. Will we make a change? probably not, if you are not ready, and do not set the vision.
