Best Paper Awards

(Right picture) CALPHAD Best Paper Award 2013

In the year 2012, we published our paper on the improved magnetic model for thermodynamic modeling in the CALPHAD journal. Our work was recognized by the CALPHAD community.
Luckily, This is the second CALPHAD best paper in my publications.

The improved magnetic model has been successfully implemented in the Thermo-Calc software package, and will be utilized for the 3rd generation themrodynamic and kinetic databases.

In the year 2011, we published our paper on the thermodynamic modeling of the Fe-Cr system in the CALPHAD journal. Our work was recognized by the CALPHAD community. We have tried to perform the thermodynamic description of the Fe-Cr binary system down to zero kelvin.

The ultimate aim is to have seamless integration of CALPHAD and ab initio modeling. Of course, there is still a long way ahead. But we will keep doing this.

(Right Picture) Best Paper Award for "The First Sino-German Symposium on Computational Thermodynamics and Kinetics and Their Applications to Solidification", 2007

In the year 2007, I gave an oral presentation on my experimental and calphad assessment work on the Al-Ni-Si system. The determination of the phase equilibria of the Al-Ni-Si system covered the whole composition and temperature ranges. The presentation was later published in the International Journal of Materials Research, previously named as Zeitschrift für Metallkunde in 2008.
